A Revolution in Digital Prosthetics
“I am an orthodontic prosthodontist and have been working primarily in digital for almost a decade.
Since I was closely involved in the creation of EasyModel and it was trained on models I made, my opinion is not completely objective.
However, I have been using EasyModel on a daily basis for several months and I would like to share my experience with you. I use 3Shape and like many dental technicians, I was more than tired of wasting more than an hour a day cleaning scans and performing repetitive tasks to create models. That’s why when one of the Aiway associates I knew very well told me that it seemed possible to fully automate this task, I was immediately excited about the project.
After a learning phase of a few months the tool became more and more reliable. The algorithm continues to improve on special cases but I am impressed with the quality of the models provided by EasyModel.
At the beginning I systematically checked the results before printing to make sure that the result was in accordance with my expectations. Now I am serene and I know that I can start printing directly most of the time without even visualizing the model produced.
Since using EasyModel, I have become much more productive while maintaining a consistent level of quality. What more could you ask for? The software is particularly simple and after a few uses, it is easy to understand how, with a little organization, you can save a lot of time. So much so that when a dentist offered me to take over the digital part of his usual dental technician who was unavailable, I accepted without hesitation, whereas it would have been impossible otherwise. Considering EasyModel’s contribution, it seemed obvious to me that it should be offered to the greatest number of prosthetists and that is why we decided to create Ai4dental with Aiway.
